What discussions should we have and what should we avoid or rather hide? What role does art play in this? Should we teach about the thing we might not agree with in current times or should we erase them to maybe avoid a touchy subject? These are some of the questions I would like to ask the audience of this project. It is divided in two parts; Leren (“Learn”) and Retoucheren (“Retouch”). I chose five pieces of art that during times as MeToo and BLM are questioned on their ethics. Without taking a stand for either, I tried questioning my audience with the designs by highlighting the parts that are considered controversial.
