Coming from a family that used to be in the flower business, flowers were a constant in my life. When I went to live on my own I got into the habit of buying myself flowers every week. Each bunch of flowers I would get for myself, would be picked based on an emotion or event that would have happened to me during the week. Sad times meant Lillies, if I had accomplished something great I would get myself Tulips.
These flowers were then dried and photographed with the purpose to create images where the beauty of the flower combines with the value they hold to me. They are full of contrasts and seem to move through the image.
